Sophie & Hugh

I’m not sure quite where to start… I’m still coming back to earth!  The days since arriving home have been spent in a bit of a daze… I have a permanent smile, I can’t seem to focus and I find my thoughts drifting-off, looking through Saturday’s photos… (again!)  How lucky were we with the weather?… we could not have asked for more perfect conditions for the big day with the sun making its appearance right on cue!

There are no words to adequately do justice to the beauty and uniqueness of The Grange as a venue… to see the house with doors wide open and “dressed” in all its glory with Gillie and Fi’s stunning flowers, grasses and foliage literally growing and flowing through every room and up the stairs, watching and feeling the light and warmth of anticipation as the house prepared to welcome us was magical… with my eyes closed I could almost see it smiling down on us!  And then to see Hugh and Sophie so happy and for their excitement and sheer delight in celebrating their marriage with close friends and family wash over us all in an infectious wave of pure joy is “the stuff of which fairy tales are made”…  It is definitely the best wedding I’ve ever been to – biased or not!

Thank you for making all this possible, for always being available, for indulging our endless questions – always with a smile, for reassuring our many unfounded doubts, for never saying “no” and for gently guiding us through to the big day… and beyond!  I realise you have to do this numerous times during the year and yet you still made our celebration feel completely special, completely unique.  The whole of The Grange team had the ability to make us feel you were enjoying the celebration with us; welcoming and hosting us as you would members of your own families… a feeling not at all contrived, just totally natural and one that is priceless!

Thank you; Saturday, 11th September, 2021 is a day we will never forget!
