Discover Hampshire

Hampshire is filled with plenty of things for all manner of tastes. Imagine making the most of what’s on our doorstep by exploring the local scenery on foot, walking along our famous chalk stream rivers to find a welcoming country pub via the extensive Watercress Way footpath.

On a rainy day, taste your way through our bountiful county with a trip to our local market town, Alresford, just 3-miles down the road. Here, you’ll discover a wide selection of shops, including a well-stocked delicatessen featuring a fine selection of cheeses, cold cuts and other gourmet delights. Additionally, two butchers, a fishmonger, a greengrocer, as well as a high-end fashion boutique with famous sales and many retail stores to gratify any discerning shopper.

Further afield, but only 15 minutes by car, the medieval city of Winchester offers visitors a bustling high street with a range of independent stores to potter, roam and while away an afternoon. Moreover, take the opportunity to immerse yourself in the largest farmer’s market in the UK – an established foodie destination held on the second and last Sunday of every month.

We’re consistently delighted by the many treasures we find so close to home. Should you ever seek assistance to explore our surroundings, we would be more than happy to guide or inform you of any upcoming local events or new haunts we’ve recently learnt about. Below are a few of our recommended shops, restaurants, pubs, suppliers and locations in the area.
