Turning sun, rain and chalk into something delicious
Over two hundred years after our forebear, Alexander Baring, bought the Grange Estate we have come together to produce a family of sparkling wines from its soft, chalky landscape. Our wines are made in our New Winery, which will allow fruit from the vineyard to travel just 75 metres to be harvested at perfect ripeness, pressed and then fermented under the exacting eye of Head Winemaker, Harry Pickering. Our wines express the unique characteristics of our vineyard – Burges Field – where flinty south-facing slopes encourage an ideal balance of acidity and sugar.
